The AIGA chapter at my university was reinstated my final year there, leading me to try and get involved as best as I possibly could. The second meeting I attended had our group working on creating a logo for a local elementary school event known as The Panther Social.

 

The challenge here was that this event was directed towards the parents, therefore needing a balance of fun but appropriate for the older audience. The logo I created subtly combined the concepts of being a social event with the speech bubble and the school’s mascot being the panther, and from there went on to design supplemental materials like event invites and tickets.
